Tom Inskip Wins Wilton Supersets 2010

Over 50 players took part in our annual one set SuperSets competition which took place on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May. Despite cold weather the competition was enjoyed by all and benefitted from having ABTO umpires and ball bys and girls from the Lynn Jones Ballpersons Academy. The event started at 9 am and competition was tight between the lower rated players. The highest rated players then took on the eight qualifiers in the round of the last 16. Despite several close matches the eight seeds all won-unlike last year when qualifiers beat the top four seeds. On court coaching was encouraged and the umpired matches included the popular 'two free points' ruler Last year's winner Eliot Dimmock fell at the semi final stage leaving Tom Inskip to defeat his Roehampton club-mate Nik Snapes in the final.
