A bright, sunny day greeted 17 keen juniors who arrived to play in the first
'Red Mini' Tournament held at Wilton on Sunday 5th November. The format was an
'Everyone's Your Partner Round Robin' allowing all involved to mix in with
players not neccessarily from their school or coaching class making it a very
sociable affair.
Many parents hung around to watch the action which was great
and as the day went on the rallies got longer and everyones matchplay started to
improve infront of our very eyes.
After completing 8 short matches each the
pizza came out (and didn't last long) and the winners, Saphire and Anastacia
were announced the winners in a very close contest and everyone went ome with a
small prize.
Thanks to the kids for playing in what was a very successful and
well worth repeating event. Thanks to the parents for getting up and bringing
them down to the club on a sunday morning!
