Dear All,
The 7th team continued their good start to the Summer
League with a hard fought 2-2 draw at home to Cheam Fields III. Having lost the
first two matches it was a great effort to fight back and claim a point.
The team was: Damian McFadden, Dennis Parker, Chris Drew, David

Thanks to everyone for playing, especially Dennis who stepped in at
very short notice. Special mention goes to David who fell heavily on his wrist
early in the first match and battled on which was a terrific effort.

Dear All,
The Summer League kicked off with the inter-Wilton
blockbuster clash of the 6th and 7th teams and it was the 7th team who took
victory and gained revenge for their heavy defeat in the winter meeting of the
teams.
Rain halted proceedings after the first two close matches were shared and
it was the 7th team who came out strongly after the rain to claim both reverse
matches with straight sets wins.
The 7th team was: Damian McFadden, James Reed, Roger Tagholm, Nico Van
Der Westhuizen
The 6th team was: Richard Jones, Adrian Berry, Richard Embry, Paul
Morgan

Dear All,
I'm happy to report that the 7th team braved the cold in
Kingston yesterday to draw at the very pleasant surroundings of Coombe Wood
tennis club. 5 match tie-breaks played so far this season and 4 won! Hopefully
we can keep this going with just one match left this season.

Dear All,
I am very pleased to report that the 7th team have started
2008 with a 3-1 away victory at Pensford. Despite an early 9am start and grey
and windy conditions, the match was played in great spirits and everyone
performed well. Hopefully we can keep up our new habit of winning match
tie-breaks!

Dear All,
Very happily I can report a home win for the 7th Team
against Dorking III yesterday. Despite some cold and windy conditions everyone
played very well and have really got our season underway. With their recovery
from 4-8 down in the 'Champions' Tiebreak, James and Damian are in the lead
for most exciting match of the season!
The team was: James Reed, Damian
McFadden, Archie Holmes, Simon Maxwell.
