Well done guys!
Wilton A finished the 2009/10 season with their 8th consecutive win last night - a 7-3 victory away to Vale B. Wilton were represented by Paul West (winning 3 matches), Chris Dolphin (winning 2 matches) and the injured Richard Evans (winning 1 match). Paul and Chris also won the doubles. Although a comfortable win, this was the only match this season that Wilton failed to take maximum points (by winning 8-2 or better). It means that Wilton will finish with 31 points out of a possible 32 from their 8 matches and will be promoted to division 1 (as division 2 champions) when the new season begins in October 2010.

Wilton A completed their seventh straight maximum point win tonight - with an 9-1 victory at home to Y Gardens D. On this occasion, Wilton were greatly assisted by the opposition turning up with one player instead of the required three and therefore conceding 7 out of the 10 matches. Wilton A have their final match on Thursday (11 March) when they will try to complete their unbeaten run with a win away at Vale. Paul West will be flying back from Spain in the afternoon to play in the match, relying on transport connection from Gatwick. The other members of the team will be Chris Dolphin and Richard Evans.

Wilton A completed a perfect start to the first half of the 2010 season at the club tonight (Fri 5 Feb) with their fourth straight maximum point win - this time by 9-1 against Vale B. Paul West and Chris Dolphin won their 3 singles matches and the doubles and Felix Wang won 2 matches. This means that Wilton have now comprehensively defeated all their opponents.
The team do not have a match next week. The second half of the season starts on 18 Feb with an away match at Vale C.Tomasz Zbikowski wil be making his debut for Wilton A in that match, playing alongside Paul and Felix.

Wilton A continued their winning start in division 2 on Wednesday with another maximum point win - this time by 8-2 against 24th club (who are currently playing at York Gardens due to the recent loss of their own venue). Paul West won 3 matches and Chris Dolphin and Richard Evans won 2 matches each. This was followed by Paul and Chris winning the doubles. Next Friday, Wilton A return to the same place to play York Gardens.
