Dear Team Player
Just to let you know about three tournaments-any or all of which you may
like to enter.
1- Nomura Challenge.
For players of all standards who work for a company in the London postal
area. There are 5 events: a-Mens singles and doubles combined, b-Mens Doubles,
c-Mixed Doubles, d-Ladies Doubles, e-Mens over 35 Doubles. Your partner also has
to work for a London company but not necessarily the same one. Full time coaches
are not allowed to enter. This is a very well-organised postal event with finals
held at Queen's Club. The closing date is this

2-Kingston Open Tournament
This tournament is held at Canbury Gardens in Kingston during the evenings
and at weekends from 30th April to 12th May. There are a huge variety of adult,
veteran and junior events. This is a fun and fairly low key event.
Closing date is Monday 21st April. There are small fees between
£3 and £5 per event. I have a small stock of forms at the club.
3- London Parks and Clubs Tournament
This is a postal event for players of all standards and again includes a
wide variety of events. Closing date is 15th May. You can enter

a large number of forms at the club.

Congratulations to our Ladies 1st team who defeated Westside 1 by 3-1 today
in the final of the Surrey Grade A Cup.
This is the very first time that Wilton
have won this trophy.
It has been a great season for our 1st team who won their league by
winning all matches by a convincing margin. Today's team was: Kim Freebairn,
Jacinta Gunn, Christa Gecheva and Rochelle van der Walt .Thanks also to Greta
Musu for standing by as reserve.

The team was Paul Fenton, Joe Chadwick, James Reed & John Wiltshire,who
achived the unique match score of a 0.5-3.5 loss. Astro courts have caused us
some problems this season! Scores were:

1st Team Tennis - Men
The Wilton international all stars had
an undefeated winter season in division B. Our three wins and two draws
will secure promotion to the top division next winter. Well done to the 6
players who represented us - Paul West (captain), Peter Schlamberger, Kenji
Toyoda, Paul Livesi, Ashley Balm and Ed Boyce.

Our ladies first team have not only won all their winter league matches they have now reached the final of the Surrey Grade 'A' knock out competition
with a convincing 4-0 win against Spencer.
The final will be on Sunday 1st April
but the opposition and venue are not yet known.
