A Welcome From Shelly, Our New Head Coach

 

Please allow me to introduce myself... I am the new Head Coach and very pleased to be aboard!

 

I originate from San Diego in California where I had the privilege of being around some very good players.

 

I'm looking forward to bringing good tennis to Wilton and would love to help you improve your game as well. I enjoy teaching everyone-children who are just holding a racquet for the first time, adults and children who play for fun and more advanced players who are serious about their game.

Ben will be greatly missed as he has been with you for five years and he is a great guy who knows how to instil a viable tennis programme. I can only hope that I will be able to do the same and, with your support, will continue to strive for excellence.

 

I had the privilege of partnering Kim in our first ladies team match last Sunday. I  really hope that she decides to venture back from her homeland in the New Year as I  think that she is top class!

 

One of Billie-Jean King's favourite sayings is ''Ya Gotta Luv It''. From what I gather from both Terry and Ben,as well as other members who I've met thus far, that's what the common denominator seems to be at Wilton- the LOVE of the game!
