Summer Tournament Draw 2008
Sunday, 29 June 2008

Thank you for entering the club summer tournament which begins on Saturday 5th July. The draw has been made and is displayed in the clubhouse. The order of play is attached below. Please check the times of your matches and please make every effort to be on time.

All matches are best of 3 tie break sets.

There are a total of 80 matches to play so it will not be possible to alter the times and dates of matches. The only exceptions are if:
 1) bad weather causes postponements,
 2) if I have made an error in scheduling including not considering dates when players have stated that they are unavailable
 3) if players are needed for Wilton club matches.

Hope you enjoy taking part.

Regards

Terry

2008 Winter Finals Day Results & Highlights
Monday, 28 April 2008
Our winter finals day was one of the best in recent years. The quality of tennis was high and most finals were closely contested. One highlight was the mens doubles when Ashley and Ted withstood the challenge of the young stars Alex and Tom in order to win their 12th Wilton mens doubles title together. At the end of the day Martin Howley and Richard Jones battled for nearly three hours in the Mens 55 Singles. Sixty stroke rallies were commonplace before Martin finally prevailed - 21 years after he won the Mens 45 Singles!

Photos show the winners being congratulated by Club President Dennis Parker.
